initially a song about struggling to maintain the drive to pursue a music career, thoughts of giving up, and really just giving myself a pep-talk; became more of a song about the conflicting ideals and future visions of two people at the crossroads. but also, i just had this really fun riff that i wanted to explore and turn into a song… probably the first song i’ve written where the lyrics take a back seat to the music..
